PDF Bench collects nothing. It cannot collect anything.
PDF Bench is built without the macOS network entitlement. The operating system itself prevents the app from making any network connection. Your documents, your annotations, your signatures, and anything you type never leave your Mac — this is enforced by the macOS App Sandbox, not merely promised by us.
Summarize, Ask, auto-naming, and redaction use Apple's on-device Foundation Models and on-device text analysis. Document content processed by these features is processed locally on your Mac and is never transmitted.
Saved signatures are stored in your Mac's Keychain. Recovery copies of documents (created only if a save fails) are stored in the app's local container. Both are under your control and deletable at any time.
The one-time Pro purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions: ankit@utenx.com
